how do I sign with hearts or spades etc.in a game?

when I play bridge some people can use a heart or spade etc when they talk about a hand, how do they do that so that I can use that also

   You use Alt codes… they are used by holding Alt and hitting a number on your numpad (far right of the keyboard)

   ? = Alt + 3
   ? = Alt + 4
   ? = Alt + 5
   ? = Alt + 6

   Alt + 3 = ? (heart)
   Alt + 4 = ? (diamond)
   Alt + 5 = ? (club)
   Alt + 6 = ? (spade)
